Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi has decided not only to produce smartphones but other useful devices as well. For example, today we have for review a new soundbar for a TV, which is called Xiaomi Redmi TV Soundbar.
In this article, we will analyze all the features of this device and consider how it sounds for what purposes it is intended.
Now a little about the technical characteristics and specs. The soundbar Xiaomi Redmi TV received 30W of power, stylish and minimalist appearance, wireless Bluetooth 5.0, and many other features. Let's start our detailed review.

Design and construction
The appearance of the new Xiaomi Redmi TV Soundbar has a typical design like most soundbars on the mobile market. I want to note that the device has received a minimalistic design, which is made in black. Therefore, in appearance, the soundbar will definitely look harmonious in your room near the TV.
As for the build quality, I have no complaints. The entire body is made of monolithic matte plastic. In addition, the plastic itself is quite wear-resistant and does not leave fingerprints.

The dimensions of the column are not small and are 780 x 64 x 63 mm in size, and the column weighs about 1.5 kg. Naturally, this is a soundbar and it will not be convenient to move it from room to room. Therefore, this device is intended to be used with your TV in order to provide a better sound quality.
On the front of the soundbar, there is a metal grill that protects the main two speakers from the outside world.

Responsible for control is touch control, which is located on the right side of the case. Here I found four keys – these are power on, volume control, and mode switching.

At the bottom of the Xiaomi Redmi TV Soundbar, there are rubber feet. They are necessary for accidental sliding on the surface. I can also note that the rear panel has special holes for screws. They are designed to mount the soundbar to a wall.

The inconvenience is the lack of remote control. That is, if you want to control the volume, you will need to approach the device to set the volume level.

Despite this fact, I liked the build quality and the materials used. But now let’s talk a little about connection methods and sound quality.
Connection and sound quality
As I mentioned, Xiaomi Redmi TV Soundbar has received Bluetooth 5.0 version wireless connection. This connection is used in most wireless speakers or earbuds. Therefore, the connection itself will not differ from the above devices.

The first thing I did when testing the soundbar was to wirelessly connect to my smartphone to test the sound quality.

So, through a smartphone, the sound was very strong and spacious. I also noticed good bass and well-tuned mids. Yes, the device is designed for watching movies and TV series, but as it turned out, listening to music will also bring a lot of pleasure.

Besides the wireless connection via Bluetooth, the soundbar has two additional wired connections. I can refer to them as S PDIF and AUX connections.
During my testing, I tried connecting to the TV via both wired and wireless connections. From my observations, I can note that the sound quality was almost the same. But there was practically no delay through the wired connection, and through Bluetooth 5.0 one could feel a slight lag.
If we compare the sound quality on the Xiaomi Redmi TV Soundbar and with the stock TV, then the sound through the soundbar is much better, brighter, and louder. Watching movies, TV shows, or even playing games brought me much more emotion than through standard TV speakers.
Conclusion
Xiaomi Redmi TV Soundbar is definitely the essential device for your TV. If you want to upgrade your sound on TV for an inexpensive price, then with the help of the new soundbar it will be easy to do it.
Of the advantages, I can single out – this is good build quality and used wear-resistant materials. In addition, I liked a large number of connection methods. This is a Bluetooth 5.0 wireless connection or wired via S PDIF and AUX ports.
Speaking of sound quality, your TV will take on a new lease of life as it will sound much better and you will get much pleasure when watching films. From cons I want to draw your attention to is the lack of remote control and a rather short S PDIF cable.
